Music educators, often unsung heroes in the realm of education, play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of students and fostering a deep appreciation for the arts. While their impact is undeniable, there are aspects of their profession that often go unnoticed.

Music educators are not confined to the four walls of a classroom or the hours of a school day. We want to celebrate Memphis music educator Juan Valdez.

Juan teaches at Overton High School and coaches chamber music groups through our PRIZM Connect program. If you want to learn from him, he’ll be teaching at our Music Camp this summer.
