Rod Vester named as Chamber Music America Career Coach and appointed to annual conference committee

We’re proud to announce that Chamber Music America selected our executive director, Rod Vester, as one of 11 career coaches from across the United States! CMA career coaches are veterans in ensemble music, from artist managers to career-development specialists, and regularly advise music professionals on a variety of business and career areas.

Rod has a strong background in arts administration and nonprofits and a lifelong history of music performance and composition. As a career coach, he will consult on various topics that he directly applies to PRIZM Ensemble, such as building a diverse workforce and ensemble, strategic planning for administrators and using music for social change.

Rod will also serve on the conference committee for CMA’s 2020 National Conference. The 42nd annual conference will take place in New York in January 2020. The committee is responsible for planning a fun-filled agenda of workshops, speakers, networking opportunities and ensemble showcases.

When asked what excites him most about his CMA appointments, Rod said, “This allows PRIZM to be placed on a national stage and inserted into a bigger conversation. I’m excited to have a national platform to share all the work PRIZM is doing to impact the arts community.”

Way to go, Rod!
