Meet our Teaching Artist: Maya Stone
Maya Stone is a faith-filled, Black female classical musician, creator, performer, educator, health coach and ZUMBA instructor. This season, she is the full-time Acting Contrabassoon/Section Bassoon with the Louisiana Philharmonic. She is the tenured Assistant Principal Bassoon with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the Sphinx Symphony. She is faculty at the Bang On A Can Summer Music Festival, the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and she is thrilled to join the Prizm Summer Camp Music Festival again. Maya’s bassoon teachers include Christopher Millard, Kristin Wolfe Jensen, Barrick Stees, and Frank Wangler.

Meet our Teaching Artist: Dunia Andreu
Cuban-born clarinetist Dunia Andreu is an award-winning performer and dedicated arts leader. She earned First Prize and the Clarinet Honor Award at Cuba’s National Woodwind Performance Competition and additional honors at the First National Clarinet Competition. Dunia has appeared as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba and performed extensively in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. She served with the Ébanos de La Habana clarinet quartet and the Opera and Ballet Orchestra of Havana’s Gran Teatro Alicia Alonso. Based in Florida, she freelances with leading orchestras across the Southeast and collaborates with renowned conductors. Passionate about education and community impact, Dunia is Manager of Music Education at the Jacksonville Symphony, overseeing the Youth Orchestras, and serves as Expo Hall Manager for the Sphinx Organization.Brass Faculty
Meet our Teaching Artist: Mark Bonner Jr.
Mark Bonner, Jr. is a Grammy-nominated musician, composer, and clinician from Memphis, TN, and a Professor of Music at Overton School for the Performing Arts. He holds a Doctorate in Wind Conducting from the UMKC Conservatory, a Master’s in Conducting from LSU, and a Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Memphis. Dr. Bonner’s work has been featured on ESPN, and showcased by cast members of The Office. He previously served as Director of Athletic Bands at the University of Central Missouri, where he authored over 50 arrangements, including the school song. He has performed with the Fountain City Brass Band (Tuba), Memphis Wind Symphony (Euphonium), and Big Band Swing (Trumpet and Trombone), and remains a sought-after clinician for elite ensembles across the nation.

Meet our Teaching Artist: Wilker Agosto
Dr. Wilker Augusto is a Brazilian-born hornist, conductor, and educator from João Pessoa, Brazil. He earned his Bachelor of Music from the Federal University of Paraíba, graduating with the Laurel of Academic Excellence Award, and built a distinguished 14-year career in Brazil as a band director, winning numerous state and regional championships and receiving the Young Orchestral Conductor Award at the 2012 Eleazar de Carvalho International Music Festival. After moving to the United States in 2016, Dr. Augusto completed an Artist Certificate in horn performance and a Master of Music in wind conducting at Azusa Pacific University, and earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in wind conducting from the University of Memphis in 2024. An active performer, clinician, and guest conductor, he currently serves as Visiting Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Memphis and is Director of International Relations for the Brazilian League of Bands.String Faculty
Meet our Teaching Artist: Alexandra Dee
Dr. Alexandra Dee is the Director of Orchestral Activities at Appalachian State University and the Music Director of the Asheville Symphony Youth Orchestra. She previously served on the faculties of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of St. Francis. She was also music director of Chicago’s South Loop Symphony Orchestra and has been a cover conductor for the Charlotte Symphony and the Joffrey Ballet, with whom she debuted in 2017 conducting the Chicago Philharmonic. Dee completed her doctoral studies in orchestral conducting at Northwestern University. She is also an alumna of the Florida State University College of Music, where she completed both Master of Music in orchestral conducting and Bachelor of Music Education degrees. Dee is active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator.
