With an impressive range across musical genres, Martin McCain maintains a versatile performance schedule as a soloist, recording artist, chamber, orchestral, jazz/commercial musician and educator. As a bass trombonist, Martin is a four-time winner of the Global Music Awards and has been featured as an “Emerging Artist” in Billboard Magazine. He has been a PRIZM instructor for our summer and winter camps since 2017, and we are thrilled to have him back teaching our low brass students for our 2021 summer camp!

Aside from teaching at PRIZM, Martin holds the rank of the youngest full professor of trombone at Texas State University. He has performed internationally at recitals in Singapore, Thailand, Croatia and Japan. Martin has performed with a variety of professional ensembles including McCain Duo, Iris Orchestra and the Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass.
