SUMMER FESTIVAL OVERVIEW

Summer Festival Overview

The PRIZM Music Camp & International Chamber Music Festival features a diverse faculty (gender and ethnicity) of renowned international musicians, including likely representation from the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Swedish Opera Orchestra and the TransAtlantic Ensemble.

These musicians will work with a diverse group (gender, race and socio-economic) of up to 110 student slots over two weeks from across the greater Memphis area. Select students will play alongside the faculty in a chamber group and perform in evening faculty concerts at both program sites. Tickets can be purchased for the evening concerts.

“PRIZM is an opportunity to learn, grow, and gain access to the knowledge of professionals for musicians of all ages and ability levels. Whether you come to the festival for one, two, or all three reasons, the special thing about the festival is the sense of community even in such a diverse group. I have learned and grown as not only a musician but as a person through the four years I’ve participated and I look forward to seeing the program grow in the years to come”
